Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Sivro collects through this website and through the software Sivro uses to run its YouTube channel, and what we do with it. Sivro is run by Christopher Metz. Questions go to admin@sivro.co.

The short version

• This website has no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies.
• If you use the contact form, we get what you type and use it only to reply to you.
• Our YouTube tool uses YouTube API Services, works only with Sivro's own YouTube channel, and never signs in to anyone else's account.
• We don't sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Information from this website

The contact form

When you send the contact form, we receive your name, email address, business name (if you give one) and your message. The form sends them to our email inbox so we can reply. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't use your details for anything other than answering you and any work you ask us to do.

Server logs

Like most websites, our web server records basic details of each request: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. We use these only to keep the site secure and working, and we keep them only as long as we need them for that.

Fonts

Our pages load the Inter font from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers, which see your IP address. See the Google Privacy Policy.

Cookies

This website doesn't set cookies, and we don't use cookies, pixels or similar technology to track you here or on other sites.

Our YouTube tool and YouTube API Services

Sivro publishes educational videos for small businesses on its YouTube channel, @sivro_co. To plan and publish them, we use our own in-house software, Sivro Studio, which uses YouTube API Services. By using YouTube, you are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google handles YouTube data under the Google Privacy Policy.

Sivro Studio is used only by Sivro, for Sivro's own channel. It isn't offered to the public, and the only YouTube account it is ever signed in to is Sivro's.

What it accesses and why

• Our own channel (with our sign-in): our channel details, our list of videos, YouTube Analytics reports for our videos, and the upload and processing status of our videos. It uploads our own finished videos with their title, description, tags, thumbnail and captions, always as private with a scheduled publish time, so we can check everything in YouTube Studio before it goes public.
• Public YouTube data (no sign-in): search results, public video details and statistics, and public comments on other channels' videos. We use these to see what people are asking about a topic before we make an episode. Public comments can include a commenter's display name; we don't contact commenters, build profiles of anyone, or publish what they wrote.

Storage and deletion

• Public YouTube data is kept for no more than 30 days, then deleted.
• Data about our own channel is refreshed or deleted at least every 30 days, except our own channel's statistics and the IDs of videos we uploaded, which we keep as business records.
• Our sign-in tokens are stored on Sivro's own systems with access limited to Sivro, and are never shared.
• We don't sell, rent or share YouTube data with anyone, and we don't use it for advertising.
• Sivro Studio doesn't place cookies or any other tracking technology on anyone's device.

Revoking access

Anyone who has authorized an app to use their Google or YouTube account can remove that access at any time on the Google security settings page. For Sivro Studio, that is only Sivro's own account.

Sharing

We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the services that run our business, such as our email provider, and only so they can do that job, or when the law requires it.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing admin@sivro.co. We'll act on deletion requests within 7 days.

Children

This website and our videos are for business owners and aren't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the effective date above.
